Giving back through fencing
Fencing is not than just a sport, it’s a developmental tool that carries great benefits for the growth of young children. Unfortunately, many kids (and parents) don’t have access to this opportunity. We want to change this. We want to get into your school or your organization. We want to teach your young kids, in small groups, to fence! We want the wonderful developmental benefits to apply for all kids. Mostly, we want to make fencing fun and accessible to all young kids who might otherwise not get a chance to. We do this ALL for FREE ! That’s why we need your pledge.
We do the Fence-A-Thon only once a year and ALL the money we raise goes towards supporting the kids. From buying equipment for the kids who can’t afford it, to helping to pay for tournament fees so kids can have a chance, but more importantly, for kids who show promise, we give scholarships to attend the Bronzeville Fencing Academy in Chicago!
It is our hope that through fencing, the kids can develop skills to help better themselves, and to help better our communities!
